- the stunning scenery surrounding the Lodge – Lake Wakatipu, Cecil and Walter Peaks to the South, The Remarkables Mountain Range to the East, Queenstown Hill to the North, and Bob’s Peak to the West; and
- the relaxation, calm and new perspectives on life we hope you gain when staying at the Lodge.
Located on Queenstown Hill, the centre of Queenstown with its many eateries and other attractions is a short 5 minutes’ drive or 15 minutes’ walk away. One of the entry points to the Queenstown Hill Walkway (a great half-day hike or mountain-bike ride) starts at the end of our street.
The Lodge has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, a sunny open plan living/dining area, a large private terrace for summertime BBQs and two lake-facing balconies you can chill on with a book and a glass of locally produced wine (if you so wish). All bedrooms have lake and mountain views, so you could even enjoy Queenstown’s famous lake and mountain views from the comfort of your bed.
Remaining true to our values, every item at Tirohanga Lodge has been carefully curated to include everything you need for a comfortable, rejuvenating stay (and nothing you don’t). Hotel-quality furnishings, brand new, quality appliances, ultrafast fibre internet and underfloor heating are just a few of the comforts you will find at the Lodge. Local maps, a small collection of books with an emphasis on New Zealand, and a number of games are also available. A cot, changing table and high chair cater for families with infants.
As signatories of the New Zealand Tourism Sustainability Commitment, we have created a business that not only aims to be economically viable but also focuses on its environmental impact and its contribution to the local community. The Lodge will be operated by Goodstays Queenstown, a small team that has been managing visitor accommodation for more than a decade.
We look forward to welcoming you, your family and friends at Tirohanga Lodge on your/their next visit to Queenstown.
