The Z-Trail EV by Xero Shoes is a lightweight sport sandal designed for trail use, water activities, travel, and everyday walking.
The men’s Z-Trail EV weighs 437g (15.4 oz) in size 45; the women’s version weighs 267g (size 7/37.5). Both use FeelLite™ sole technology—a 3-layer construction that combines ground feel with protection. The flexible sole includes a 10mm stack height and zero-drop design for natural movement.
Made from 100% vegan-friendly materials, including 70% recycled content in the webbing, the Z-Trail EV aligns with conscious purchasing decisions. The sole is built to last, with durable rubber traction pads and a flexible TrailFoam™ midlayer for comfort and shock absorption.
The huarache-inspired lacing system is adjustable and secure, while heel and instep straps are made with moisture-wicking, tubular webbing. The sandals are quick-drying and compact enough to roll and pack.
Designed for minimalists and slow travellers, the Z-Trail EV is suitable for hiking, running errands, paddleboarding, and exploring new places with minimal bulk.
